Located west of Austin, Dripping Springs has been called the gateway to the hill country. It is a slow-growing area with highly acclaimed schools in a beautiful, hilly, country setting. The older neighborhoods typically feature 1+ acre lot sizes. There are a few newer developments that have smaller, city-size lots, but for the most part, people move to Dripping Springs for the acreage, the views and slow pace. Many custom builders in Dripping Springs have embraced the green building movement, and you’ll find more homes with water harvesting here than anywhere else in Austin.
