Pflugerville is located North of Austin, and South of Round Rock, on both the east and west side of IH35. It is a smaller suburban city than Round Rock, although it too has had rapid growth. In 1990, the population of Pflugerville was 4,444 and by 2000 the population had grown to 16,335. Home prices tend to be lower in Pflugerville than in most areas of the Austin metroplex.
