Familiar with Reach? New to Relational?
We need to make sure that every voter across Texas knows that there is a critical general election on November 3, and that Vikki Goodwin is the best choice to serve as our next Lt. Governor.
This is where YOU come in. We need you to talk to every single person you know between now and the General Election, persuade them to vote for Vikki Goodwin, volunteer with Team Vikki, and vote as early as possible.
This is “relational organizing” — and it’s how we win in November. Sign up today to join us.
What is relational organizing?
Relational organizing means using the power of your relationships to get the people you know to take action – in this case, voting and volunteering. To put it simply, it just means that people talking to people they already know is more effective than strangers talking to strangers.
That means you – yes, you! – are the best person to get your friends and family to vote, and to get them to vote for Vikki Goodwin.
How effective is relational organizing?
So close to Election Day, we’re prioritizing asking people to do the most important thing: get their friends and family to vote early.
This is the essence of relational organizing, and it is proven to work better than any other kind of voter contact. A conversation between people who know each other is at least 2.5 times more effective than strangers talking to strangers.
Every time you talk to someone you know about Vikki Goodwin, that’s as effective as our campaign knocking 10 doors!
Our campaign's relational organizing goal:
We need to contact every potential Democratic voter in Texas.
A unique and critical group of these voters are people you know. Evidence shows that if you contact them about the election — rather than having a stranger call or text them — they will be significantly more likely to actually vote.
That means that every Vikki Goodwin supporter needs to talk to at least 50 people they know, including friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, social media followers, and more before November 3…
Get started with Reach, our relational organizing tool:
Our campaign is using a tool called Reach to measure our program and ensure we’re reaching the number of voters we need to win. Reach is also a tool for YOU to make sure your friends are registered to vote, and to track their ballots in this election.
Note: Reach is a tool for YOU to talk to your friends and family and make sure they’ve voted. The campaign will never contact your friends and family. Click here for a guide on using Reach.
